Epidermal Thickness Measurements

Dr. Lily Jiang, Chief Scientific Officer at Thomas J. Stephens and Associates gave a great presentation at the ISBS (International Society for Biophysics and Imaging of the Skin) conference in San Diego on utilizing the VivoSight OCT system for validating epidermal thickness changes after applying topical products to the skin. The results on the forearm were quite compelling and highlight how skin imaging with OCT can help in efficacy studies. Epidermal thickness has been tricky to measure accurately earlier and the VivoSight images confirm the thickness variation between different skin sites.​​​
